| Getting Ready for the Pitter Patter of Little Feet |
So Your having a baby ...
As an avid scrapbooker, one of the first things I did when my wife and I learned we were pregnant was to start collecting anything related to all the things we did for a pregnancy scrapbook. I was so excited, and I needed something to document the experience and share with others. I chose to do my pregnancy pages as part of my son's first year book, but I didnt want to just reuse baby boy kits. I wanted the pages to be relevant to the events we were going through. Now for those who want to do pregnancy pages, here are some ideas:
- positive pregnancy test
- mom (and dad) the day you found out
- belly shots at regular intervals, whether it's weekly or monthly
or by trimester--from the side please!
- sympathy pregnancy - pics of dad's belly gain
- maternity wardrobe
- dad (or mom) assembling baby furniture
- decorating the nursery, finished nursery
- baby showers--the hostesses, the guests, the gifts, the food,
the games
- ultrasound photos - notorious for deteriorating much more
rapidly than photos. To increase the longevity of your ultrasounds,
consider preserving them by scanning them into your computer and/or
using a photo kiosk (like the one at Wal-Mart) to make actual photographic
prints of your ultrasounds
- siblings with mommy's tummy
- Professional portraits--many women have professional portraits
done of themselves alone, or with the father, or with older children,
with the focus on mommy's tummy. I've seen some really nice ones
done with window light.
- belly shots of siblings kissing or hugging belly
- shower photos and gifts

| Can't Keep a Good Site Down!!! |

last week our hosting company Hosting-pp.com had a outage which took bwscrapbooking down. We are now back up, and open for business. We apologize for any inconvience this caused you if you tried to log in and down load items, or wished to purchased items. | Nakama.ca Makes it Easy to Be Seen and Heard. |

My real job is in the cell phone industry and I love the new ideas people come up with to make our cell phones easier, and more convient. I came across this article about a site, Nakama.ca(make sure you use .ca and not .com). Nakama (loosely translated from Japanese, the name means circle of friends) They have a new take on making it easy to share your images, video and even your thoughts (via voice recordings). The recently launched company
not only lets you upload pictures to their service for further handling
to the destination of your choosing, Nakama will also call you back
once you post images so that you can record an embedded voice message
to accompany your new image with a few select thoughts.
The free service (you will get hit with an mms charge if you’re
uploading images from your phone though) seems to be catching on well.
Their official launch was the 27th of September yet going through the
user galleries they seem to have already caught the attention of
hundreds of new users in spite of the fact that aside from a well
publisized blog they’ve done no advertising whatsoever. I can just picture ( no pun intended) now, bneing out at the park, or the zoo, or anywhere with my son, and I snap some pictures. Not I can upload the pictures, and record a message to give the picture a back ground story. Hmmm odes this mean the end of my journal, and needing to carry it with me. You just gotta love technology.
